About This Blog
» Thousand Platos is a blog about philosophy, theology, translation, and sometimes Plato.
Why Plato?
-
Because it all began with him. Someone even claimed that the rest of philosophy is merely ‘footnotes to Plato.’
-
Plato is a significant figure for some of the key people in my research project, both philosophers (Heidegger, Derrida) and theologians (Milbank, Pickstock)
-
Okay, Thousand Platos is also a pun on the title of a book by two Frenchmen. Perhaps I will review it here, one day.
About Me
I’m Jelle Huisman, I’m interested in philosophy, theology and translation studies. I tinker with wood, electrons and words.
